Bio

“A wish changes nothing, a decision changes everything."

I've always been a "get it done" kind of person, and I love helping others do the same. And as a former photojournalist & photo editor, I now spend a lot more time editing rooms than pictures. I help clients visualize potential, clear the logjams and sort the forest from the trees. And yes, I do love metaphors.

In 2010 I helped my parents downsize and relocate to an independent living senior community. This was the genesis of Jane Hale Organizing LLC, which I started in 2013. After my father died in 2017, I organized my mom’s move into an assisted living apartment, where I continue to help keep her organized and her environment user-friendly for her in a wheelchair. She is now 96 and still hanging in there!

I love working with people ready to embrace change, whether transitioning to a new home or transforming an existing area into a more organized and functional space. My goal is to lighten the load and de-stress the mess for clients in creative, eco-friendly, ways. It is my joy to help them find theirs in whatever area of the home they find overwhelming.

I'm a very proud member of the NAPO Michigan Chapter and served on the board for over four years as Director of Professional Development. In 2019, our chapter earned the NAPO Chapter of the Year designation.

I specialize in working with seniors in both organizing and relocation projects, and small team projects for both residential and business clients.

When I'm not working on my business, I'm usually working on my competitive pickleball game, where I am always working to become a more dangerous contender!
