Bio

I use sensitivity, patience, and a dose of wit and whimsy to help families reduce stress and take back control. I recognize my clients are the experts and ultimate authority in their own life process and work with them to create organizing systems to meet their unique needs. A sensitive and gifted lifelong learner, I value interpersonal relationships and solving problems using a strength-based approach.

Owner and founder of Declare Order Professional Organizing, I was born to teach! Clients benefit from my previous experience as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher and Before and After School Program Director. I organized students for learning and fun, while also coming up with systems to store toys and curriculum materials when not in use.

I have led many in-person and virtual programs for audiences interested in learning more about organizing and decluttering. I am presenting, “Shift Your Mindset: Tapping into Client Strengths” to my professional colleagues at NAPO’s annual conference, “Educate. Elevate. Celebrate!” in Baltimore this April.

In the summer of 2020, I joined the ranks of Instructor for the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) University. My course, "Working Smart Together: Preparing for Conversations with Clients Living with Diagnoses" is one of the required client interaction courses for NAPO’s Brain-Based Conditions Certificate.

In late 2016, I began learning more about supporting marginalized communities. This passion led me to the field of Community Psychology and I was accepted into a PhD program. An official student once again, my research about community responses to hoarding connected me to conversations about defining successful outcomes for people living with hoarding challenges and how to support children and adult children who grow up in hoarded conditions.

Following a recurring life theme of “Ready...Fire...Aim,” I signed up for TikTok and began posting. Users appreciated my fresh takes and kind face and I, quite accidentally, amassed 170k+ followers! I post regular content, teaching about conscious consumerism and challenging the notion that “Instagram-worthy” equals “organized.” I illustrate the differences between "organizing" and "styling" and makes videos inside my local Target to teach how to resist impulse purchases. The content is light-hearted and all in good fun so if you aren’t ready to hire an organizer, join me over on TikTok @declareorder and enjoy some free advice.
