Bio

Who am I?
I was that kid on the beach who built exactly 100 sandcastles lined up in perfect rows; the preteen who held almost weekly jumble sales; and the young adult who moved so often my friends wrote my address in pencil in their address books.

Years later, as an adult, I hiked all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4000’ mountains (12 with my dog Bodhi) in memory of a dear friend, keeping perfect records of which mountains I hiked, when I hiked them, and who I hiked them with!

As you can tell, I am goal driven, only keep things I need or love, and thrive on order and the great outdoors! But I am also compassionate and love nothing more than helping people who aren’t wired like I am.

What's my educational background?
I studied Economics and Business Administration at Queen's University Belfast, finishing first in my year. My Dad dropped me off and picked me up everyday as we couldn't afford for me to live away from home. The troubles, as they came to be known, were a turbulent time to grow up in Northern Ireland.

Years later, I studied for a Master of Arts in Teaching at Simmons College in Boston, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. I had two children four and under at the time with a third on the way.

What's my professional background?
I worked in the Belfast office of an international computer timeshare company for five years after graduating, providing customer support and training. I progressed with a move to London to their UK HQ to pursue computer-based design and development, then in its infancy. I later became manager of that team.

My years at Arthur Andersen were both a professional culture shock and the years when I learned the most about what it meant to be a business
consultant. I worked for them both in the UK and US, often working 12-hour days as the project demanded.

After starting a family and returning to the UK, I worked for three Andersen Consulting partners who had left to form their own company, Dent Lee Witte plc. They knew me and were prepared to offer me a job which provided work/life balance.

Years later after moving back to the US and having raised three children, I pursued my passion for organizing and closet design by joining The Container Store where I trained as an elfa Designer. I learned about the wide range of organizational products available and the type of challenges faced by clients.

The experience gave me the confidence I needed to start my own business. Now, in my sixth year, I have continued to learn and to grow, recently achieving the Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®) designation. I thoroughly enjoy my work and love the challenge of working with each and every client to address their unique goals and circumstances.
