Bio

The lights came on for me about organizing as a profession in 2012. I was handling paperwork for two good friends, each of whom would rather poke themselves with a stick than sort, file or chase paper! Friend Leslie is a caterer and Tim restores turn of the century British race cars. The work I was happy doing freed them to pursue their passions.

First I’m a space organizer, helping people with projects from downsizing for a move to paper control, closet design and garage makeovers. We also consider the time-cost of clutter and disorganization to come up with ways to streamline processes and new systems to simplify decision making. Clients find relief from the stress of a cluttered home or office and more time to accomplish their objectives.

At Space and Time Organized, we pay attention to the client’s vision and details of how they want their household items organized.

Based in El Sobrante, I offer a complimentary consultation that helps people understand what we can accomplish and how they are in control of the process and the outcome.

I joined the San Francisco National Association of Professional Organizers and was instantly connected to a community of people in the business of helping people with downsizing, clutter control, digital organizing and generally solving some of the problems of running a household or business. My involvement with NAPO-SFBA has been a wealth of information and resources that help me serve my clients.

My personal passions are many. Creative cooking probably takes front seat, since that is often the focus of our many family gatherings. We have California family in Walnut Creek, Sausalito, San Pablo, Sebastapol and Pacifica. We have a 25 foot RV and love to head out to beaches, deserts and redwoods. We have family and friends in Tacoma, Seattle, Port Orford, San Luis Obispo and San Diego who let us wear out their driveway periodically. We are rock hunters, dog and cat lovers, and passionate readers of science and fiction, history, environmental essays and on and on. Time is one of those things in life you can’t make more of, but we can make the most of it!  Wishing you lots of adventures and satisfaction. Thanks for reading my bio.  Janet
