Nominate a Board Member Today!

Are you or someone you know an active NAPO Member and want to affect change on the higher level? Nominations are currently being accepted for the NAPO Board of Directors.

Ideal candidates are:

  • dedicated to fulfilling NAPO's vision
  • passionate about advancing the profession
  • team-players with a leadership approach that promotes consensus and transparency
  • willing to employ innovative ideas

The Nominating/Leadership Development Committee is accepting candidate nominations for the following three positions on the January 2019 Board of Directors election ballot:

1 must be a Professional Member

1 must be a Professional, Retired/Emeritus, Business Partner or Allied Member

1 may be be a Professional, Retired/Emeritus, Business Partner or Allied Member

Eligibility

Who can be nominated?

Professional Members in good standing may serve as Officers.

Professional, Retired/Emeritus, Business Partner and Allied Members in good standing.

You may self-nominate or if you are nominating another NAPO member, you must obtain their permission prior. Be sure to give them ample notice to complete the application process. To nominate another NAPO member, you must complete the nomination form here.

The NAPO bylaws require that the Association's Board consist of 4 Officers, all of whom must be Professional Members and 6 or 7 Directors, 5 of whom must be Professional Members.

Eligible members must be willing and able to serve as described in the NAPO Bylaws, Article V, and NAPO Board Processes - Quick Start Guide. Elected members must sign and adhere to the Uniform Volunteer Agreement.

Process & Timeline

 

Sunday, November 4, 2018 - All candidates must complete and submit the nomination applicationby 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

November 5-29, 2018 - The Nominating/Leadership Development Committee will review and consider all nominations submitted. The Committee is responsible for recommending qualified candidates for inclusion on the ballot. The Board of Directors is responsible for approving the recommendations of the Nominating Committee. Click here to view the Board Nomination & Elections Candidate timeline.

January 4, 2019 - The official election ballot will be emailed to all eligible NAPO member voters

January 20 - Voting closes

January 25 - Official election results to be announced

May 15 - newly elected officials will take office
